A Veteran's Day Prayer

I am blessed to have several military families that are a training at my school. They are amazing and such an inspiration!

I would like to take this time to offer this Veteran's Day prayer:

Father, we could never thank our military men and women enough for their courageous service and sacrifice to our country and its people. Yet today we lift up our voices to express gratefulness and honor to these military troops both from the past and present. Show us ways in our communities, churches, and families to thank and love them better. Keep and protect these heroes and their families, in the powerful name of Jesus.

God bless you for all you do to keep us safe!

Samurai Karate Studio Introduces Anti Smoking Campaign in Class!

I am pleased to announce that I am updating my training curriculum to include self defense against smoking.

Iwill be using a set of flash cards that were created by UBBT team coach, martial arts consultant and friend, Tom Callos.

He created these cards because "We (martial arts teachers) are going to start talking to kids about smoking --and why it's not a good idea (actually, we're going to talk about just how absolutely stupid and destructive it is)."

Coach Callos's vision is to have hundreds of martial arts schools around the country talking about the dangers of smoking and why it is bad for us.

This new program will speak volumes to our children and should resonate with many of my adult students as well.

Remember, self defense is more than just kicking and punching. Yes, self defense is learning how to protect yourself on the street, but more importantly, self defense is about preventing disease, fighting apathy, protecting our environment, and respecting our fellow man!

If this sounds like the kind of martial arts education that speaks to you, please come in and visit our beautiful school. Or better yet, take a free class.

All you have to do is call me at 803-462-9425!
